Nifty Records Highest Ever Quarterly EPS
The earnings per share at Rs 183.9 for the Nifty during Q4FY21 turned out to be the highest ever in history. It also marked the 3rd straight quarter of the actual EPS beating the estimated EPS. Analysts anticipated Rs 163 EPS for the Nifty during the quarter gone by. The full-year EPS stood at Rs 550 which translates into the price to earnings multiple of 29 times. Out of the 50 companies – 20 reported earnings above expectation, 14 companies reported inline, 10 companies reported a mixed set while only 6 companies reported below expectations.
